Sui Foundation, the organization dedicated to the advancement and adoption of the layer 1 blockchain of the same name, has made a groundbreaking announcement today. They have integrated Amazon Web Service’s (AWS) Blockchain Node Runners on Sui, providing developers with a self-managed node deployment solution.
This integration allows builders on Sui to easily set up and deploy full nodes within the AWS environment, taking advantage of the high availability, scalability, and reliability of AWS’s cloud infrastructure. Navi, a leading liquidity protocol, will be one of the first users to deploy full nodes on Sui using AWS Blockchain Node Runners.
Kathryn Van Nuys, Global Head of Startups in Specialized Segments at AWS, expressed her excitement about this integration, stating, “AWS Blockchain Node Runners was designed to support builders at all stages of the application lifecycle, offering blueprints to meet specific requirements, from enhanced security and compliance to ease of deployment and monitoring.”
Node Runners offers several technical advantages for deploying blockchain nodes, including best-practice deployment templates, multi-node deployment options for high availability, and integration with the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Full nodes on Sui play a crucial role in validating on-chain activities and servicing client queries.
Navi has already deployed their first node on Sui via AWS’s service, and developers and startups building on Sui may be eligible for up to $5,000 in Activate credits. Sui Foundation has also joined the AWS Web3 Provider program, providing additional support to Sui developers.
