Nvidia CFO Colette Kress Discusses Competitive China Market and Data-Center Revenue Growth
In a recent conference call, Nvidia Corp.’s Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress addressed the competitive nature of the China market and the company’s data-center revenue performance. Kress highlighted that while data-center revenue in China saw sequential growth in the fiscal second quarter and played a significant role in overall revenue, it still remains below previous levels.
Kress noted that despite the growth in China, the percentage of total data-center revenue from the region is still lower than before export controls were imposed. She emphasized that Nvidia anticipates continued competition in the Chinese market moving forward.
Overall, Nvidia reported a remarkable 154% year-over-year increase in data-center revenue, reaching a record $26.3 billion. Sequentially, data-center revenue also saw a notable 16% increase.
