The night from Saturday to Sunday was a busy one for the CGDIS as they mobilized ambulances and firefighting teams to respond to various incidents across the country.

Serious Accident on N1 Near Findel

At around 2:20 am on Sunday, a tragic accident occurred on the N1 near Findel. A car crashed into a tree, resulting in one fatality and one person being injured. The emergency response included two ambulances, medical emergency aid services, as well as firefighters from Luxembourg City and Sandweiler.

Overturned Truck on N31 Between Bettembourg and Livange

Just a short while later, at 2:46 am, another incident occurred on the N31 between Bettembourg and Livange. A small truck overturned, fortunately resulting in only material damage.

Fire Incidents Earlier in the Evening

Prior to these accidents, firefighters had already been called to respond to two separate fire incidents. At 6:50 pm, a car caught fire on Rue de la Gare in Leudelange, followed by a garbage can igniting around 8:20 pm on Rue de l’Église in Fischbach, near Mersch. Thankfully, in both cases, no injuries were reported.
