Eugene and Dan Levy Host the 76th Annual Emmy Awards in Hollywood
Father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy have kicked off hosting duties at the 76th annual Emmy Awards in Hollywood today – the second time the Emmys have taken place this year, after last year’s awards were delayed several months due to the Hollywood writers’ strike.
The nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards are out, and the acclaimed miniseries Shogun leads the pack with 25 nods, including Best Drama Series. Other top contenders include The Bear (23), Only Murders in the Building (21), True Detective: Night Country (19), and The Crown (18).
Elizabeth Debicki, one of two Aussie stars nominated tonight (the other being Naomi Watts), won for her role as Princess Diana in The Crown. She was nominated last year but didn’t win.
“I didn’t write anything down because I’m very superstitious and now I’m in a real pickle,” she said in her brief speech.
Excitingly, this year’s Emmys are available to watch locally on Foxtel and Binge from 10 am today, with liveblogging happening throughout the event. You can also check out all the best celebrity looks of the day in our red carpet round-up.
