Malaysia has been recognized as the fifth most popular food paradise in Asia, according to a recent survey conducted by Agoda, a well-known digital travel platform. The survey revealed that 49% of tourists cited culinary delights as their primary reason for visiting the country.

The survey data also revealed that some tourists are so enthusiastic about trying local cuisine that they make restaurant bookings abroad even before purchasing their flight tickets.

The survey was conducted between Aug 1 and 19 and involved over 4,000 respondents from 10 countries, including Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore.
