    Operation Two: Oct 16-17 Raids

  • Three suspects arrested in separate raids on apartment buildings in the city
  • Narcotics seized: 16.345kg of ecstasy pills, 225g of ketamine, 68.87g of syabu, 40g of Erimin 5 pills, 115g of ecstasy pills, and 14.75g of cannabis
  • Other seizure: vape cartridges believed to contain drug-laced liquids
  • Total value of drugs seized: RM2.827 million
  • Additional seizures: car and RM160 in cash

    Modus Operandi of the Syndicates

    According to Comm Kumar, both syndicates operated by moving frequently from one apartment to another to avoid detection. They would rent apartments to store, process, and pack the drugs, then relocate after a week or two to a new location.

    The arrested suspects are currently remanded for seven days and are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. This section provides for severe penalties, including the death penalty or life imprisonment with whipping upon conviction.
