Lapland has once again broken this winter’s cold record, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute. The temperature dropped to -34.4 degrees Celsius in Savukoski after seven in the morning.
Previously, the record was broken late on Friday evening when the temperature at the Tulppio station in Savukoski was -32.7 degrees Celsius. Earlier in the evening, Savukoski recorded -30.2 degrees Celsius.
