Adam Hansson has taken over as the new manager for the Lannebo Sverige Hållbar and Lannebo Norden Hållbar funds since the beginning of the year, sharing the responsibility with his partner, Peter Lagerlöf. This decision came after a thorough selection process that led to the appointment of Hansson, who brings a wealth of experience in active management to the table. Mohammed Salih, the communications chief at Lannebo, expressed his satisfaction with this choice, citing Hansson’s expertise in both the Swedish and Nordic markets, as well as his focus on sustainability, aligning perfectly with the funds’ objectives.
Hansson’s background includes previous work as an investment analyst at Lannebo, making him a well-rounded addition to the team. The transition occurred following the departure of the funds’ previous manager, Charlotta Faxén, who left Lannebo in September of the previous year. Faxén’s exit coincided with Lannebo’s merger with Öhman Fonder, where she had been employed since 2009. Despite the change in management, Salih emphasized that the funds’ strategic direction remains unchanged, emphasizing active ownership, sustainability, and long-term value creation for their clients.
In terms of performance, the Lannebo Norden Hållbar fund, managed by Adam Hansson and Peter Lagerlöf, has seen notable growth, with assets under management totaling 115 million SEK. Over the past year, the fund has delivered a return of 11.09%, showcasing its robust performance. Key holdings in the fund include industry giants like Novo Nordisk, Borregaard, Hexagon, Inwido, and Nordea Bank, reflecting a diversified portfolio with strong growth potential.
On the other hand, the Lannebo Sverige Hållbar fund, also managed by Hansson and Lagerlöf, boasts assets under management of 780 million SEK. Despite facing some challenges over the past three years, the fund has shown resilience with a return of 10.37% in the last year. Top holdings in this fund include Investor, SCA, Hexagon, Atlas Copco, and Nibe, highlighting a mix of established companies and emerging market leaders.
Overall, the appointment of Adam Hansson as the new fund manager for Lannebo’s sustainable funds signals a continued commitment to responsible investing and long-term value creation. With a focus on sustainability and active management, Hansson and Lagerlöf are poised to steer these funds towards further success in the ever-evolving financial landscape.
