Sven-Olof Johansson has declined reelection as a board member of SBB, a position he has held since 2017. Citing his numerous other commitments, including serving as CEO of Fastpartner and involvement with PPI, Johansson expressed his decision to step down.

“I have a lot of other responsibilities, and being on SBB’s board is a very demanding role. I have been there for so long, and now that we have sorted things out at SBB, it doesn’t feel too difficult to leave,” Johansson told Placera.

The announcement of Johansson’s departure was made in a press release by SBB’s founder and largest shareholder, Ilja Batljan, who praised Johansson’s significant contributions to the Swedish real estate market.

“Sven-Olof Johansson is a legend in the Swedish real estate market. He has brought a wealth of knowledge and dedication to SBB and has made significant contributions. On behalf of all shareholders, I want to thank Sven-Olof for his efforts. Sven-Olof will continue to serve as a board member in SBB’s subsidiary, Public Property Invest ASA, and contribute to creating shareholder value,” Batljan stated.

The nomination committee has proposed the election of Han Suck Song, a real estate economics researcher at KTH, and Tone Kristin Omsted, IR chief at Public Property Invest, as new board members.

For reelection, Lennart Sten is once again nominated as chairman, with Lennart Schuss, Lars Rodert, Hans Runesten, and Ilija Batljan recommended as board members.

Omsted is set to join the board as a new member at the annual meeting on May 13, 2025.
